Terms of Service
Last updated: 15 October 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Cartello, including cartello.online, the Cartello admin dashboard, the Cartello mobile app and the stores hosted on the platform (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you use the Service on behalf of a business, you confirm you are authorized to accept these Terms for it.
1. The Service
Cartello lets merchants build websites and online stores, manage products, orders and customers, accept payments through third-party providers, and connect optional integrations. Features available to you depend on your plan and your country.
2. Your account
You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity under your account.
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to open a merchant account.
Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
3. Plans, fees and billing
Some plans are free and others are paid monthly or yearly as shown on our pricing page. Prices are shown excluding any taxes that may apply in your country. Paid plans renew automatically until cancelled. You can upgrade, change or cancel your plan at any time from the billing page; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and fees already paid are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise. We may change our prices with reasonable advance notice.
4. Your store and your content
You keep ownership of the content you upload (products, images, text and other material). You give Cartello a limited license to host, store, display and process that content only as needed to operate the Service for you. You are responsible for your content and your store, including product descriptions, prices, taxes, shipping, returns, customer service and complying with consumer-protection and other laws that apply to your business.
5. Acceptable use
You must not use the Service to:
sell illegal, counterfeit or prohibited goods or services;
infringe anyone's intellectual property or privacy rights;
send spam or mislead or defraud customers;
upload malware, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other stores or their data;
overload, disrupt or reverse-engineer the Service.
We may suspend or remove content or stores that break these rules.
6. Payments and third-party services
Payments are processed by independent payment providers under their own terms; Cartello does not store card details. Integrations you choose to connect (for example Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Search Console, shipping carriers or messaging services) are provided by third parties under their own terms and privacy policies. You authorize Cartello to access those services on your behalf only to provide the features you enable, and you can disconnect them at any time.
7. Customer data
You are responsible for handling your customers' personal data lawfully and for having a privacy policy for your store. Cartello processes that data on your behalf as described in our Privacy Policy.
8. Availability and changes
We work to keep the Service available and secure, but it is provided "as is" and "as available", and we do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may add, change or remove features over time, and we will give reasonable notice of changes that materially reduce the Service you pay for.
9. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, templates and the Cartello name and logo, belongs to Cartello and its licensors. These Terms do not give you any rights to them except the right to use the Service as permitted here.
10. Termination
You may stop using the Service and close your store at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you seriously or repeatedly breach these Terms, fail to pay fees, or if required by law. After closure, you can request an export of your data within a reasonable period, after which it may be deleted.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cartello is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the fees you paid to Cartello in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
12. Indemnity
You agree to compensate Cartello for claims, losses and costs arising from your store, your content, your products or your breach of these Terms or the law.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the new version on this page with a new "last updated" date and notify merchants of significant changes. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept them.
